This situation described in the article is appalling and there is absolutely no reason why the child should have not been released to her grandmother. How can the state decide to take a child from their parent with no report of neglect or harm, put her into housing where should could runaway from and end up in the hands of sex traffickers? This is ridiculous and the child is now forever harmed from the extreme situation that came from a wealth of poor decisions based on a pronoun, unbelievable.
