According to open source information, Guo Xinzhen (2 years at time) disappeared on 09/21/997 in Liaocheng City, China. Apparently, Guo Xinzhen was playing at the door of his home while his mother cooked inside.
Years later, authorities in China confirmed they had arrested a woman surnamed Tang and a man surnamed Hu. According to China state news media, Tang snatched Xinzchen and delivered him to Hu, who then sold him. CCTV, the state broadcaster, said the two had confessed.
Xinzhen was reunited with his family by use of DNA after approximately 24 years.
