According to open source information, on 09/08/2011, a (then) 19-year-old Shanna Genelle Peoples was last seen walking outside in the vicinity of her residence in Geneva, Alabama. At the time of her disappearance, Peoples lived about two blocks from her parents' residence.
Peoples was routine orientated in which her daily routine consisted of walking or riding her bicycle between her home, and her parents' residence.
When Peoples was discovered missing, the front door of her residence was left open and the television was left on. There were no indications of a struggle in the home, however those close to Peoples indicated it was not typical for Peoples to leave her tv on or have the door unlocked while she was gone.
Also, Peoples frequently spoke on her cellular phone which was turned off at approximately 4:00 p.m., on the day she went missing.
