Details of Disappearance
Genevieve Mauri (46) was reportedly last seen by a person she was traveling with by the name of (WITHELD) at a Super 8 Motel located at 4238 W. Century Blvd at app. 03:00hrs on Saturday, August 14, 2021. It was reported at this time after having an argument with (WITHELD), Mauri collected her things and left the motel. (WITHELD) reported Mauri left behind her wallet and phone.
Later in the day on August 14th, 2021 it is reported that Mauri made contact with Inglewood police and requested assistance in locating the French Consulate, she has not been in contact with anyone since.
Statement from family friend
"Genevieve was on a lay over at lax for one day. LAX is the classic layover for flights between French Polynesia and Paris. She had a flight to Paris to go and visit her son who is studying there. It was her first international trip ever and it took a year for her and her family to plan this. The person traveling with Genevieve is a very close family friend. His name is (WITHHELD). He has been interrogated by the police and is the one who reported her missing. Apparently he is not a suspect in this case. (WITHELD) reported Genevieve went to this random Morrocan man’s room ( room 213) in her hotel."
The family friend further stated, "We do not know whether he shows on the security cameras when she leaves the hotel with her suitcase at 3 am."
Interpol has notified all borders of her disappearance.

WOW! I don't know . . .
I just read this profile and I don't know what to think. Was this woman missing or pretending to be missing. Seems as if someone who tried to help find her set up some kind of crowd funding account to gather money to help investigate the case. Now the woman wants the money back she spent to help find her. If this was a scam, that is terrible.
I smell a rat
After reading this profile, I smell a rat. This is a case we should see in the news. Every time I read one of these profiles, I can't stop thinking of what lead up to this happening. But it always comes down to someone the person trusted is the one that usually had something to do with it. Be careful who you trust.
